Here are some fascinating facts about earthquakes and some informatiom about spome of the worst earthquakes in history.
The 1556 Shaanxi earthquake in China is one of the deadliest earthquakes in history:
This earthquake has been sometimes called the deadliest earthquake in history. This earthquake occured on January 23, 1556, in Shaanxi, China. It damaged an area of 520 miles. 97 other countries have felt this earthquake. The crevices and holes went down 20 meters or more, and many structures had collapsed. Around 830,000 people have died, which is 60% of the population in Shaanxi. The magnitude of this earthquake is 8.0 on the Richter scale or one 1-Gigaton.
